Blueberry Smoothie (WF, GF, DF, V, VG, FF)
Fruit and vegetable smoothies are a good way in increasing the amount of antioxidants and fibre in your diet. It reduces inflammation that is a precursor to many diseases, boosts your immunity due to the high level of antioxidants and prevents constipation. Fibre is made up of soluble and insoluble fibres that aid in helping you have a good bowel movement. It aids in detoxification and clearing of toxins from the digestive tract.
Add a handful of fresh blueberries, 1 cup organic soy / rice milk and a sprinkle of grounded linseed, sunflower seeds and almonds. (Add 1 banana for sweetness, optional)
