You’re snacking on the wrong foods
Avoid foods that are high GI (glycemic index) such as chocolate or white carbohydrates (bread/pasta/flour based products). Incorporate high protein snacks such as nuts (almonds, walnuts), 1 can of sardines or boiled eggs.
You diet lacks iodine
Iodine is required for healthy thyroid function. Incorporate iodine rich foods such as seaweed, fish, prawns and iodized salt.
You’ve completely cut out carbs
Low GI (Glycemic index) carbohydrates (e.g. quinoa, brown rice) are essential for blood sugar regulation, replenishing glycogen stores in the body due to intense exercise. If you do not consume carbohydrates, your glycogen stores are depleted leading to less calorie burning. Thus consume a palm-sized portion of carbohydrates such as brown rice, quinoa, sweet potato with each meal. Please see my previous blog post on this
